When her father fails to return home, the sound of his boats engine is the only thing a daughter has to remember of him. Learning from an elderly mechanic, she wishes to repair her fathers boat in hope of his return.

Set in a small town in Quebec, the film centres on the inhabitants of the town who are struggling to cope after teenager Simon Dub is killed in a car accident. As the family and town grieve, the residents begin to report several ghost sightings.

LKA officer David Wallat monitors released child murderer Joseph Maria Hagenow, now housed by a village pastor. As Hagenow manipulates his guards, a childs disappearance threatens to unravel Wallats entire operation.

Nina roams the highways of Europe in a desperate attempt to forget her past. She decides to join a German driver on his journey, but it becomes clear that Ninas behaviour stems from her pain due to a past betrayal.
