A young wife involved in a car accident has an emergency Caesarean and rejects her baby boy and has no recollection of the accident or the birth. An old friend of Simon's comes to the Valley.

Simon's ex-fiancee, Sally, has moved into the flat to stay and it looks to Vicky as though Simon and Sally have serious plans for the future.
