A dinosaur theme park engineers a new attraction to draw in more visitors to the park. But that new attraction turns out to be far more dangerous than anyone expected.

Humanity has moved into the City of Ember, a glittering underground city meant to last only 200 years. The builders of Ember left instructions for the future generations of citizens, but these instructions have been neglected and tossed away.
